About This Event
A Traditional Event with Clear Participation Guidance
Naag Panchami is a sacred festival dedicated to Nag Devatas and Lord Shiva. Observed on Shravan Shukla Panchami, the occasion is associated in Sanatan tradition with reverence for nature, spiritual protection, fertility, prosperity and harmony.
Lord Shiva is traditionally depicted with Vasuki around His neck, while Lord Vishnu rests upon Sheshnag—symbols of cosmic balance, continuity and divine protection. Scriptural traditions including the Skanda Purana, Agni Purana, Mahabharata and Shiva Purana describe the importance of Nag worship and devotional observance.
For Naag Panchami 2026, this Rudrabhishek and Kaal Sarp Puja Anushthan is planned in Ujjain with online and offline participation. Registered participant names, gotra where known and Sankalp details will be prepared for the officiating Vedic scholars and pandits.
